Forest Logging is a family-owned local business in Balranald, NSW with extensive experience in the River Red Gum logging and timber industry.

Owners John and Sonia Jolliffe started with a wood-cutting business and has now been in this industry for more than 18 years and took the opportunity to branch out into the logging industry in 2006. John ensures a high standard of work is delivered to his clients every time and he is always enthused to learn more about the forest industry, including silviculture and forestry best practices.

Forest Logging has successfully secured Balranald’s first ever tender thinning program of 13,750 tonnes for 2015 with Forestry NSW Corporation. We have now set up our business to produce premium Red Gum firewood, with our wood yard located only 8 kms out of Balranald on Windomal Road, enabling us to employ more locals, securing jobs and striving to keep this resourceful industry alive in Balranald and surrounding areas.

2017 seen Forest Logging secure a further 5 year contract with Forestry NSW of one parcel 11,000 tonnes per year with additional 3,500 tonnes being 14,500 tonnes per year with a remaining 4 years. This has provided secure employment.
